The Direct Support Professional (DSP) role is onsite at Palm Bay Group Homes in Palm Bay, FL. Current openings are for second shift, 2:45–11:00 p.m., and third shift, 10:45 p.m.–7:00 a.m.; weekend and holiday availability is required. Devereux provides behavioral healthcare and related services for people and families. The DSP provides hands-on daily care and behavioral support to youth with emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges. The role contributes to individualized support by helping with daily living, implementing behavior plans, teaching skills, responding to crises, documenting care, and coordinating with the clinical treatment team.

What you'll do

• Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meals
• help implement behavior support plans
• teach life, social, and communication skills
• respond to and de-escalate crisis situations
• maintain daily documentation
• transport youth to school, appointments, and community outings
• work with the clinical treatment team.
