Job overview

The Civil Construction Heavy Equipment Operator role is onsite at construction sites in the Charlottesville and Lynchburg, VA areas, with compensation of $18–$27 per hour. J+M Infrastructure performs civil construction, site development, utilities, and excavation work across central and southwest Virginia. The operator uses heavy equipment to support construction and site-development projects. The role contributes to work that includes excavation, demolition, clearing, paving, concrete, water mains, sewer, and storm drainage.

What you'll do

• Operate trackhoes, backhoes, dozers, end dumps, skid steers, wheel and track loaders, mini excavators, and rollers effectively
• work on civil construction sites
• read a tape measure
• and perform physical work including lifting, squatting, and climbing ladders.
