The Bookkeeper role is onsite in Butner, NC. Compensation is not specified. The bookkeeper reports to the CEO and supports the organization’s financial reporting and planning. The role maintains and analyzes financial records so management can understand the organization’s financial position, forecast revenues and expenses, and make informed decisions about resources, tax strategies, and budgets. It also supports accounting controls, audits, payroll, and period-end close processes.

What you'll do

• Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries
• record and reconcile transactions
• prepare balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements, financial reports, and budgets
• audit supporting documents
• maintain accounting controls and procedures
• reconcile discrepancies
• back up financial databases
• support internal and external audits, payroll, and month-end and year-end close
• coordinate and review staff work.
