General Laborer / Machine Shop Assistant

The General Laborer / Machine Shop Assistant role is onsite in Oneida, NY, with pay of $20–$24 per hour. The role supports safe, orderly shop operations by assisting with equipment upkeep, material handling, assembly, cleaning, deliveries, and general maintenance. It helps machinists, maintenance personnel, assemblers, and other departments keep work areas and equipment ready for production.

What you'll do

• Assist with preventive maintenance and cleaning, lubrication, and inspection of CNC machines and other equipment
• perform general shop and facility maintenance
• handle and dispose of chips, scrap, and waste
• organize tools and materials
• support assembly and production
• move and stage materials
• operate a forklift after training and authorization
• drive company vehicles for pickups and deliveries
• report equipment problems and unsafe conditions
• follow safety, quality, and PPE requirements.
