Family Engagement Coordinator

The Family Engagement Coordinator role is onsite in Wilmington, NC, with compensation of $14.40–$18.00 per hour. This part-time position supports the YMCA’s youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility mission through family and youth programs. The coordinator oversees Child Watch and YMCA birthday party experiences, develops engaging programs, and helps plan events such as Kids’ Night Out. The role also supports staff and volunteers, program safety and quality, and the member experience through hands-on programming and coordination.

What you'll do

• Provide welcoming customer service
• support inclusive programming and compliance with YMCA policies
• maintain program quality and safety
• assist with supervising, developing, scheduling, and supporting staff and volunteers
• lead activities during scheduled shifts when coverage is unavailable
• collaborate across departments
• plan and coordinate family events, birthday parties, and special programs.
