Shipyard Quality Control Manager

The Shipyard Quality Control Manager role is onsite in Ashtabula, OH, with both office and field work in a shipyard environment. Compensation is not specified. The manager maintains the shipyard’s quality management system and verifies that work meets internal standards, regulations, and customer specifications. The role coordinates inspections, documentation, corrective actions, and quality support with production, engineering, safety, regulatory, and customer representatives.

What you'll do

• Develop, implement, and maintain the shipyard Quality Management System in accordance with ABS, USCG, and other applicable standards
• inspect and audit materials, welding, structural components, piping, and vessel systems
• review quality documentation
• coordinate inspections and resolve quality concerns with clients and representatives
• investigate non-conformities and corrective or preventive actions
• train and support production teams
• maintain qualification records
• execute inspections under the QA/QC plan.
