Product Security Architect

Job overview

The Product Security Architect role is hybrid in Fremont, CA, with onsite work three days per week and plans to transition to five days per week. Compensation is $60–$70 per hour. The role focuses on security architecture for hardware, embedded systems, firmware, and cloud-connected energy products. The architect leads product security design, testing, regulatory compliance, and vulnerability management across connected products. The work helps protect deployed energy systems by establishing secure boot and device identity, strengthening communications and updates, coordinating testing and remediation, and collaborating across firmware, hardware, cloud, quality, and product teams.

What you'll do

• Architect secure boot chains and hardware root-of-trust solutions
• design TrustZone isolation and cryptographic key management
• audit debug interfaces
• strengthen device-to-cloud authentication
• design secure OTA update pipelines and vulnerability scanning
• lead CRA and RED Delegated Act compliance
• develop security testing strategies
• manage PSIRT, CVE tracking, remediation, and disclosure
• coordinate penetration testing
• lead threat modeling and security reviews
• establish security architecture standards.
