Mental Health Technician — ARDOC

What you'll do

• Provide mental health services and conduct regular patient checks and rounds under the direction of a licensed Mental Health Professional
• provide psychosocial-educational programming and activities for individuals and groups
• triage mental health concerns and provide consultation as assigned
• participate in release continuity-of-care planning
• train staff in human behavior and mental health issues
• and maintain patient confidentiality.

Why this role

A bachelor’s degree in a mental health or social science field is required, though professional experience, training, and applicable certifications may be considered in lieu on a case-by-case basis. CPR certification must be maintained; other certifications such as First Aid may be required by contract. Correctional-setting and mental health intervention experience are preferred.
