The Cook, Afternoon Shift (10:30 a.m.–7:00 p.m.) role is onsite in Waterford, WI. Pay is $18.50–$20 per hour. The cook prepares food for residents and staff at Lakeview Specialty Hospital, a long-term acute care and inpatient rehabilitation hospital serving people with complex medical and rehabilitation needs. The cook prepares food to dietary standards and supports residents’ prescribed dietary needs, safe food handling, and dining-room service. The role also helps maintain quality and sanitation and provides direction and on-the-job training to staff when serving as lead in the Director’s absence.

What you'll do

• Prepare food products according to the Dietary Menu System
• support client dietary needs as prescribed by physician orders
• maintain sanitation standards, food storage, labeling, and stock rotation
• assist with dietary security systems
• provide direction and training to new and vocational employees or clients
• act as lead staff in the Director’s absence
• participate in quality assurance
• report unsafe working conditions and follow facility policies.
