What you'll do

• Prepare and splice fiber-optic cables
• locate problem areas and perform repairs
• install and maintain transmission and reception equipment for the FTTH network
• maintain private-line network systems and resolve service issues
• initiate test and turn-up procedures with System Engineers
• interpret schematics, fiber management systems, and OTDR reports
• support field maintenance teams
• perform demand and preventive maintenance
• document network changes and upgrades
• troubleshoot MDF/headend issues with third-party providers
• participate in an on-call rotation.
