The Pharma/Biotech Executive in Residence – Breakthrough Bio role is hybrid in Boston, MA, with compensation of $18,000 per year ($1,800 per month) for approximately 5–8 hours per week from October 2026 through July 2027. The role supports MassChallenge’s Breakthrough Bio accelerator for international healthcare and life sciences startups.

What you'll do

• Provide technical and strategic guidance to biotech startups and mentor founders on clinical and regulatory readiness, pharma partnerships, and investor storytelling. Contribute to curriculum on U.S. regulatory pathways, clinical strategy, market access, reimbursement, and investor storytelling. Connect founders with pharma companies, biotech investors, and translational research stakeholders
• mobilize professional contacts for program convenings
• help founders prepare for BIO International Convention meetings and presentations
• and provide qualitative input on founder milestone progress. In-person attendance is expected at the Boston Kickoff, California Market Access Sprint, and Philadelphia Finale
• travel costs are covered under the company’s T&E policy.
