Nuclear Reactor Operator at Constellation Energy in Fairport, NY. This is an onsite, full-time position with a pay rate of $69.80/hr. This role is responsible for operating the Nuclear Power Station safely and efficiently upon successful completion of training and attainment of the NRC Reactor Operator (RO) License. The operator will monitor plant systems, maintain logs, and perform operational duties.

What you'll do

• Operate the Nuclear Power Station in accordance with approved procedures and Technical Specifications.
• Monitor reactor and plant systems.
• Notify Unit Supervisor of unusual conditions.
• Maintain cognizance of activities impacting the unit.
• Ensure a narrative log is maintained.
• Perform clearance activities.
• Coordinate radwaste releases.
• Perform electrical switching.
• Be available for on-call status and rotating shifts, including holidays and weekends.

What we're looking for

Education

High school diploma or equivalency certificate.

Experience

Minimum of 18 months total Power Plant experience, with specific requirements based on prior experience (e.g., 6 months as non-licensed operator, 12 months as qualified non-licensed operator, 6 months as active licensed RO, or equivalent military/non-nuclear experience).
