The Certified Prosthetist Orthotist, Pediatric role is onsite in Omaha, NE; compensation is not specified. The pediatric team collaborates with Children’s Hospital physicians in clinic five days a week. Hanger provides prosthetic and orthotic care through a nationwide clinic network. The clinician evaluates pediatric patients, develops and fits orthotic and/or prosthetic devices, and follows up with patients and physicians. The role contributes to patient care through clinical collaboration, device design and adjustment, education, and practice management; clinicians who have not achieved certification provide care under a certified clinician’s direction.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with physicians to evaluate patient needs and recommend treatment options
• examine patients and formulate device designs
• select materials and take measurements
• fit and adjust devices
• instruct patients in device use
• follow up with patients and physicians
• provide in-service training
• maintain clinical notes
• support referral relationships and practice management
• comply with safety and regulatory requirements.
