Direct Support Professional Lead

Direct Support Professional Lead is an onsite role in Overland Park, KS; pay is $16–$18 per hour. The role supports HEARTLAND INC residential services and reports to a House Manager or Quality Assurance Manager as assigned. The lead provides person-centered support and helps maintain coverage when direct support shifts are open. When coverage is stable, the role assists with home operations, plan implementation, documentation, and quality of care without supervising DSP staff.

What you'll do

• Cover open direct support shifts when staff call off or do not report
• coordinate coverage needs and shift changes with the House Manager
• provide person-centered support aligned with individual preferences, rights, and goals
• implement support plans and document services
• promote independence, community inclusion, dignity, and informed choice
• assist with home operations and documentation checks when coverage is stable
• monitor attendance and report concerns
• support incident reporting and follow-through as directed.
