Temporary Volunteer Coordinator

The Temporary Volunteer Coordinator role is onsite in Mansfield, MA, with pay of $20 per hour. Community Servings engages the community to provide medically tailored meals and groceries to people with chronic or critical illnesses and their families. The coordinator recruits, schedules, trains, and supports volunteers who help distribution center staff produce and package medically tailored meals. The role also maintains volunteer relationships and records, supports community recruitment, and helps ensure volunteer activities follow safety and sanitation practices.

What you'll do

• Welcome volunteers and assign tasks with distribution center staff
• conduct daily orientations
• enforce sanitation and safety policies and administer first aid if needed
• support volunteer groups
• recruit and retain volunteers through community events and outreach
• schedule volunteers and respond to inquiries
• maintain volunteer relationships and communications
• assist with volunteer recognition
• maintain volunteer data and reporting
• complete required hour and incident documentation
• support reception as needed.
