The Property and Casualty Claims Adjuster role is onsite in Raleigh, NC, with an annual salary range of $65,000–$100,000. The adjuster investigates and evaluates claims, determines coverage and liability, and negotiates settlements to resolve claims and provide services to members and TPA customers.

What you'll do

• Contact members and claimants
• identify the relevant municipal department and contact
• investigate claims and obtain statements
• determine coverage, liability, damages, and whether claims should be settled or denied
• negotiate settlements
• report claim issues to a supervisor
• maintain reserves
• identify potential litigation
• obtain settlement documents
• issue settlement checks
• perform TPA functions
• attend continuing education and review relevant publications, media reports, and judicial opinions.
