Specimen Collector

Job overview

The Specimen Collector position is onsite in Dover, OH, with a Monday–Thursday schedule from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and occasional Friday hours. Compensation is $18–$21 per hour. Millennium Health is a specialty laboratory providing medication monitoring and drug testing services to support clinical decision-making. The collector obtains and processes patient specimens and serves as a link between clinics and the laboratory. Accurate records, resolving collection or ordering concerns, and maintaining supplies help ensure specimens and related information are handled reliably.

What you'll do

• Collect urine and/or oral fluid specimens
• process and package collections for shipping
• serve as an intermediary between practices or clinics and the laboratory
• record patient, physician order, and laboratory information
• resolve specimen concerns involving billing or patient information in the ordering portal
• maintain onsite collection supplies
• observe collections when applicable. Driving between facilities may be required.
