The Houseparent role is an onsite, full-time position in Kansas, OK; compensation is not specified. Houseparents live and serve together in a ministry-provided home at Cookson Hills, caring for children in a Christ-centered setting. The role provides daily structure, caregiving, and emotional and spiritual support for 6–10 children, ages 5–17, in coordination with each child’s plan of care. Houseparents work with teachers, case managers, and therapists while managing routines, meals, homework, appointments, medications, and documentation.

What you'll do

• Provide 24/7 care for 6–10 placed children, ages 5–17
• create a loving, structured, Christ-centered home
• model and reinforce expectations and consequences
• lead daily family devotions
• meet weekly with the case manager and support team to review progress
• assist with homework, meal preparation, and household management
• guide children in emotional regulation, money management, and spiritual growth
• handle medications, appointments, and documentation
• participate in family, school, and community activities.
