Food Service Worker (Part-Time)

The Food Service Worker (Part-Time) role is onsite in Salem, VA, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Pay is $15–$17.50 per hour. Morrison Living’s culinary team serves the InnovAge Virginia PACE – Roanoke Valley location and is described as making an impact in the lives of those it serves. The worker prepares, presents, and serves food while following food-safety, sanitation, and portion standards. The role supports daily meal service by preparing ingredients, maintaining clean work areas, assisting customers, and following inventory and cash-control procedures.

What you'll do

• Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding produce
• weigh and measure ingredients
• transport food safely
• store food using wrapping, dating, safety, and rotation procedures
• clean work areas, equipment, and utensils
• distribute supplies and equipment
• follow recipes and production standards
• serve customers
• address concerns and relay information to a supervisor
• follow service, inventory, cash-control, sanitation, and safety procedures.
