Residential Child Care Assistant

The Residential Child Care Assistant role is onsite in Gillette, WY, with compensation of $22.77 per hour. The position supports students residing at N.E.W. B.O.C.E.S. by helping maintain a safe, comfortable, clean environment. The role assists students with daily living and special care needs while supporting their development and Individualized Education Program goals. It combines supervision, personal care, activity support, meal preparation, and coordination with residential and school staff.

What you'll do

• Follow safety guidelines
• administer first aid and prescription medication under a health care professional’s direction
• provide medical assistance as instructed
• use physical restraint techniques when necessary
• support activities that reinforce IEP goals
• help students prepare meals
• clean and maintain residential areas
• communicate with teachers and residential staff
• drive school vehicles on scheduled routes and field trips
• monitor students in residential and other settings.
