The Cabinet Designer/Fabricator role is onsite in Charlotte, NC. Pay is $25–$35 per hour, based on experience and ability. Construction Theory’s custom shop supports residential and commercial projects with cabinetry, millwork, displays, and specialty features. The role turns design concepts into custom, buildable pieces by combining design work with fabrication, assembly, finishing, and installation. Work spans the shop and field and includes varied materials and project types.

What you'll do

• Design custom millwork, cabinetry, displays, furniture, and specialty pieces
• create drawings, layouts, cut files, and shop-ready details
• learn or operate CNC and fabrication equipment
• fabricate with wood, metal, acrylic, glass, leather, and specialty materials
• assist with assembly, finishing, and installation
• read plans and measurements
• maintain a clean, organized, safe shop.
