Patient Access Specialist

What you'll do

• Greet and assist patients in person and by phone
• schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments
• register patients and maintain demographic information
• verify insurance eligibility, benefits, referrals, and authorizations
• collect copays, deductibles, and balances
• explain financial responsibilities and payment options
• obtain consent and privacy documentation
• coordinate with providers, nurses, and insurance companies
• comply with HIPAA and organizational policies
• use electronic medical record systems such as Epic or Cerner.
