What you'll do

  • Assess, treat and care for patients with pulmonary disorders.
  • Responsible for the clinical administration of all therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care modalities.
  • Operate and set up devices such as mechanical ventilators, therapeutic gas administration, aerosol generators, and disposable respiratory care products.
  • Provide emergency care, including artificial ventilation, external cardiac massage, and assist staff with cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
  • Collect and analyze arterial blood gases and recognize normal, abnormal and critical values.
  • Follow physician orders for treatment and evaluate requirements for treatment.
  • Monitor patient’s response to therapy.
  • Consult with physicians, nurses and other health care professionals for changes in patient’s status.

What we're looking for

Education
Graduate of an approved Respiratory Therapy Program.
Experience
1-year previous Respiratory Therapy experience preferred
