What you'll do

• Supervise the kitchen on an assigned shift
• train and supervise kitchen staff in food handling, preparation, and cost control
• interview, hire, train, and review kitchen and utility personnel
• maintain cleanliness and compliance with health and safety requirements
• enforce standard recipes and portion control
• check plate presentation and food quality
• test new menu items
• control inventory and ordering
• monitor food and labor costs
• assist with payroll, time management, budgeting, and expense control
• interact with guests as necessary.

Why this role
