The Dental Assistant II (Mobile Health Unit) role is onsite in Burlington, NC, at the Burlington Community Health Center and also assists with appointments on the mobile health unit. The assistant supports the dentist chairside and performs direct patient care and dental support tasks. Preparing treatment rooms and records, assisting with procedures, and managing instruments and supplies help the dental team provide organized care at the center and on the mobile unit.

What you'll do

• Assist the dentist chairside with dental procedures
• perform direct patient care and laboratory procedures
• sterilize and manage instruments
• expose, process, and mount dental radiographs
• coordinate patient traffic and manage supplies and equipment maintenance
• review patient concerns and medical history
• take blood pressure
• prepare treatment rooms, records, and radiographs
• assist with instruments, materials, impressions, sealants, and coronal polishing
• provide follow-up instructions.
