Group Facilitator, Addiction and Mental Health

Job overview

The Group Facilitator role is onsite in Vandalia, OH. Pay is $20–$22 per hour. The facilitator supports an addiction and mental health treatment team, guiding patients through group experiences intended to foster insight, accountability, emotional growth, and recovery. The role leads structured groups and evidence-based curriculum for patients in residential or partial hospitalization care. It contributes to individualized treatment by encouraging reflection and peer interaction, documenting progress, monitoring group dynamics, and collaborating with the clinical team.

What you'll do

• Lead structured psychoeducational and process groups
• facilitate curriculum on substance use disorders, co-occurring conditions, trauma, relapse prevention, emotional regulation, and life skills
• create a safe, inclusive, trauma-informed environment
• encourage peer interaction and reflection
• coordinate with the clinical team
• document participation and progress
• monitor group dynamics and address conflict or safety concerns
• participate in clinical meetings and case consultations.

Why this role

Requires a bachelor’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred. Relevant Ohio licensure or certification is preferred or may be in progress; 1–2 years of addiction or mental health treatment experience is required.
