The Registered Nurse (RN) — Medical-Surgical / Telemetry, PRN role is onsite in Hillsboro, IL. Pay is $41.25–$43.75 per hour. The nurse supports monitored and medical-surgical patients at Hillsboro Area Hospital. The RN assesses patients, develops and implements individualized care plans, evaluates outcomes, and coordinates care with patients, families, physicians, and other professionals. The role also provides direction to Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants assisting with direct patient care.

What you'll do

• Assess patients and document health data
• identify patient problems and expected outcomes
• develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
• revise care plans as needed
• notify physicians or surgeons of changes in condition
• communicate shift updates
• prioritize workload based on clinical knowledge and patient needs
• maintain confidentiality
• provide direction to assisting LPNs and CNAs
• administer treatments and medications, interpret diagnostic tests, collaborate with providers, and educate patients or significant others.
