Job overview
The Electrical Engineer role is remote or hybrid in New England, with regular onsite work expected; the onsite expectation may be flexed for senior engineers with a Professional Engineer license who can work independently. Compensation is up to $160,000 per year, plus a discretionary annual bonus and up to $10,000 sign-on if required. The multi-discipline engineering firm works on federal, commercial, healthcare, and education projects. The engineer takes building electrical projects from concept through construction administration, coordinating with in-house disciplines and carrying design intent through site work and closeout. The role supports project delivery by owning power, lighting, controls, and communications design and responding to construction questions.
What you'll do
- Design building power distribution, including service equipment, distribution, branch circuits, load calculations, voltage drop, and short-circuit considerations
- design controls and low-voltage communications
- produce lighting and controls designs
- review submittals and shop drawings
- respond to RFIs and site queries
- support construction administration and closeout
- coordinate electrical design with in-house disciplines
- deliver federal projects, including DoD work.
