The Cook is an onsite, part-time position in Hornell, NY, paying $18–$20 per hour. The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, for 20 hours. What you'll do

• Prepare meals for community soup kitchens
• develop nutritious menus
• track food and supply inventory and report it to the Operations Director
• order or purchase food for both kitchens
• coordinate and direct volunteers
• follow Department of Health food preparation, serving, and storage regulations
• test refrigerator and freezer temperatures daily and maintain logs
• maintain kitchen cleanliness
• report repairs or issues
• inspect food quality before meal service.

Why this role
