The High Performance Computing Site Reliability Engineer IV role is onsite in Annapolis Junction, MD. The annual salary range is $155,000–$245,000. The role exists to improve the reliability and operation of multi-user high-performance computing systems. Working with operations teams, the engineer develops software tools and automation to address operational pain points, maintains SRE efforts in a Linux environment, and helps establish monitoring and SRE databases and consistent automation protocols.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, maintain, enhance, and document software systems
• work with operations teams to identify pain points and develop software tools
• create and maintain SRE efforts on multi-user HPC systems in Linux environments
• develop Nagios alerting and SRE databases and consistent SRE automation protocols
• use or work with configuration management, monitoring, and automation tools, including Puppet, Salt, Ansible, Chef, Bash, Python, Perl, Nagios, and SNMP.
