The Direct Support Professional role is onsite in Ocean County, NJ, including Toms River and Brick Township. Starting pay is $20.70 per hour, with the opportunity to earn up to $24.70 per hour through applicable shift differentials and overtime opportunities. The Arc of Ocean County’s residential services support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential homes. Awake overnight staff provide supervision and individualized support, respond to needs and emergencies, document overnight events, and prepare residents and the home for the morning transition.

What you'll do

• Remain awake and attentive throughout the 11:00 p.m.–9:00 a.m. shift
• monitor well-being and complete hourly checks
• respond to emergencies and concerns
• follow individualized support plans
• administer medications according to agency policies and care plans
• assist with morning routines and activities of daily living
• help with meal preparation, laundry, and housekeeping
• complete records and communicate observations to incoming staff.

Why this role
