Shipyard Production Worker

The Shipyard Production Worker role is onsite at customer shipyard facilities in Honolulu, HI. Pay is $23–$26 per hour. The work is primarily performed on U.S. Navy ships and submarines in a shipyard environment. The worker supports shipyard production by preparing and cleaning work areas, assisting with coating removal and application, handling materials and equipment, and performing fire watch duties during hot work. These tasks help crews complete shipyard work while maintaining safe, orderly work areas.

What you'll do

• Prepare and clean job sites
• assist spray painters and blasters by pulling lines
• clean tanks and other spaces
• operate hand and power tools and cleaning equipment
• prepare surfaces and mix and apply paint as directed
• move materials and equipment
• store and dispose of paint and solvents safely
• monitor hot work and respond to fire hazards
• set up and break down equipment and containment
• assist with cable removal and installation and structural trades as directed.
