Software Engineer (Level 2)

The Software Engineer (Level 2) role is onsite in Sparks, MD. Compensation is $80,000–$110,000 per year. iRF – Intelligent RF Solutions develops tailored solutions for signals intelligence and electronic warfare missions supporting defense and intelligence customers. The engineer develops software for automated testing of miniature microwave products, primarily using LabVIEW. The role builds and maintains test routines and interfaces with commercial test equipment to support reliable, repeatable product testing.

What you'll do

• Develop, debug, and maintain LabVIEW applications
• create user interfaces, state machines, and modular code
• maintain reusable libraries, instrument drivers, and UI components
• plan and execute verification and validation
• integrate with databases and serial, LXI, and GPIB systems
• collaborate with digital design engineers
• support deployed test systems
• and follow version-control and software-development practices.

Why this role

Requires an engineering bachelor’s degree and two years of software engineering experience, or an associate degree and six years of related experience. LabVIEW automated-testing experience is required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Schedule is 9/80, with every other Friday off.
