What you'll do

• Safely operate trucks and trailers and follow traffic laws
• plan efficient routes using GPS and maps
• secure cargo with chains, straps, and binders and possibly tarp loads
• conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report mechanical issues
• maintain driver logs, mileage records, and delivery receipts
• interact professionally with customers, shippers, and receivers
• communicate delivery updates and report incidents
• comply with applicable transportation regulations.
