Medical Section Lead

Job overview

The Medical Section Lead role is based in the El Dorado, AR area, where in-person presence is strongly preferred; Arkansas-based telehealth or remote candidates may be considered if they can meet operational and scheduling needs. Compensation is $20–$30 per hour. The role leads the Medical Department at a veteran-focused disability claims organization. The lead coordinates daily medical operations, provider scheduling, telehealth support, records review, and quality assurance for claim-support documentation, helping the organization deliver efficient workflows and timely, high-quality client support.

What you'll do

• Lead daily Medical Department operations and documentation quality assurance
• monitor case progression and improve processes
• manage provider schedules and workloads
• coordinate telehealth scheduling with Client Relations
• review medical and service records for relevant evidence
• prepare case summaries and records packages
• support preparation and quality review of DBQs, Nexus Letters, and Independent Medical Opinions
• assist with provider recruitment, credentialing, onboarding, retention, and training
• liaise between providers and leadership
• collaborate across client relations, operations, quality assurance, and executive leadership.
