The Direct Support Professional promotes participants’ independence, dignity, safety, and personal goals through individualized support, activity facilitation, documentation, and community engagement. The listed schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m.–5 p.m.; the program is closed on federal holidays.

What you'll do

• Provide emotional support and companionship
• assist with personal care, communication, and social interactions
• plan and lead activities with the Day Program Supervisor
• maintain attendance and progress records
• follow safety and emergency procedures
• administer medications and follow healthcare plans as directed
• implement individualized care plans and behavior support strategies
• accompany members on community outings
• communicate with families, colleagues, and partners
• participate in training.
