Sports Category Manager

Job overview

The Sports Category Manager role is based onsite in Mountain View, CA, with regular travel to Triumph’s San Francisco office. Compensation is $150,000–$180,000 base plus equity. The role reports to the Head of Procurement and New Vertical Strategy and manages purchasing for Triumph’s sports category. The manager owns the sports inventory book, balancing vendor allocations, product selection, pricing, and supply coverage. These purchasing decisions affect inventory health and product margin as the category grows.

What you'll do

• Manage the sports book’s growth, composition, cost basis, and vendor mix
• allocate weekly vendor spend based on inventory needs
• select products based on sell-through, margin, and market demand
• negotiate pricing and terms with wholesale partners
• manage vendor communications and issue resolution
• identify, vet, and onboard partners in undersupplied segments
• manage grading and authentication workflows
• track allocation fill rate, book growth, vendor coverage, and cost basis against market comparisons.
