The Credentialed Team Leader, Substance Use Treatment role is onsite across Straight and Narrow programs in Paterson, NJ, and pays $34 per hour. Straight and Narrow provides residential, outpatient, and community services for people experiencing substance use and co-occurring disorders. The team leader provides counseling and clinical oversight under the program’s clinical supervisor, helping ensure services follow organizational policies, procedures, and licensing standards. The role also supports treatment planning, staff supervision, program operations, and coordinated care for clients.

What you'll do

• Assess counseling needs and clients using standardized tools
• determine appropriate levels of care
• obtain relevant records
• develop and review client-centered treatment plans
• provide counseling and document services
• coordinate referrals and participate in multidisciplinary teams
• supervise counseling staff and oversee clinical coverage as directed
• participate in meetings and strategic planning
• support program development, policies, billing oversight, staff orientation, and training
• facilitate groups or individual sessions as needed
• provide mental health services for co-occurring disorders, including assessment, treatment planning, therapy, and crisis intervention.

Why this role

Schedule is Tuesday–Saturday, 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Required qualifications include LCADC, CADC, or an MA/MSW with LAC/LSW, plus five years of experience in an addictions treatment program. If not already credentialed as LCADC/CADC, that credential must be obtained within three years of hire.
