The Medical Director / Physician (MD) - Pain Management role is onsite at partner nursing homes and long-term care facilities in the San Antonio, TX service area. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience, with the structure to be discussed during interviews. GSA Pain Management is building a physician-led service line for pain care in long-term care settings. The physician provides direct pain management care while helping shape the clinical model, protocols, and growth strategy. The role supports residents with individualized treatment and works with facility teams to integrate pain care into overall care plans.

What you'll do

• Evaluate and treat residents at partner nursing homes and long-term care facilities through in-person and scheduled visits
• develop individualized multimodal pain plans
• perform interventional procedures when clinically indicated and within scope
• coordinate with facility staff for procedure care
• manage medication regimens with attention to polypharmacy, fall risk, cognition, and controlled-substance requirements
• document care and comply with regulations
• educate facility staff
• help develop protocols, quality metrics, and training
• contribute to facility onboarding and potential provider mentorship.
