Registered Architect

Job overview

The Registered Architect works onsite in Canton, MA, approximately 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., with flexible hours and possible additional hours if workload warrants. Pay is $40–$45 per hour. The firm provides inspections, testing, and consulting to the commercial construction industry. The architect prepares peer reviews, drawings, and specifications focused on building-envelope performance and water intrusion prevention, while coordinating with clients and project professionals to support feasible, code-compliant designs and construction work.

What you'll do

• Prepare and present peer reviews, drawings, and specifications
• consult on water intrusion and condensation prevention
• meet clients to discuss project objectives and budgets
• review submittals and provide commissioning services
• coordinate with engineers and contractors
• conduct mockup inspections and observe testing
• attend site visits and project meetings
• modify designs
• check code and sustainability compliance
• produce CAD drawings
• and prepare responses and field documentation.
