The role helps ensure residents receive meals and dietary items as directed.

What you'll do

• Prepare and deliver juice, applesauce, pudding, and other food items
• set up resident meal trays according to specified diets
• place hot and cold items on trays according to menus and diet cards
• deliver and retrieve trays
• wash and put away dishes and equipment
• clean and sanitize work areas
• respond to requests from nursing staff and residents
• assist the cook and make authorized food substitutions.
