The Industrial Refrigeration Technician — Ammonia Refrigeration role is onsite in Houston, TX, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and up to 25% travel. Pay is $40–$60 per hour. IHG Mechanical provides industrial refrigeration solutions, including new construction and retrofit projects involving freon and ammonia systems. The technician maintains and repairs industrial freon refrigeration systems and takes daily charge of ammonia systems. The role also installs, repairs, tests, and optimizes heating and air-conditioning systems while coordinating with customers and the service manager to keep systems operating effectively.

Why this role

Requires five years of ammonia refrigeration experience, qualification to work on ammonia and freon systems, a Universal EPA license, and a valid driver’s license with a good driving record. Trade school graduation and RETA certification are preferred but not required.
