Early Childhood Educator

The Early Childhood Educator role is onsite in Tunbridge, VT, with pay of $20–$28 per hour based on education and experience. Orange County Parent Child Center’s year-round, full-day early education program serves infants, toddlers, and preschoolers in Central Vermont. The educator creates a safe, engaging environment and implements curriculum that supports children’s emotional, physical, intellectual, artistic, and social development. The role also communicates with families and staff, observes children’s progress, and adapts plans to developmental needs and IEP goals.

What you'll do

• Create and implement programming for individual children and groups
• implement approved curriculum with the Program Director
• prepare a safe, orderly environment
• engage children in developmentally appropriate activities
• remain current with IEP goals and plan accordingly
• observe and report behavior
• organize program materials
• maintain attendance and staff schedules
• communicate with parents
• administer first aid and respond to emergencies
• complete required training and maintain licensing compliance.
