Staff Pharmacist

What you'll do

• Review prescriptions received orally, in writing, by fax, electronically, or transferred from other pharmacies
• compound and dispense medications
• counsel customers on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage
• maintain quality assurance, pharmacy security, controlled-substance procedures, and hazardous-waste disposal
• enter patient, prescription, cost, and inventory data
• perform drug utilization reviews and medication assays
• instruct interns and pharmacy personnel.
