What you'll do

• Learn to estimate food requirements and obtain supplies
• prepare and cook food using production records and standardized recipes
• measure and mix ingredients
• cook foods under guidance
• test food for doneness
• portion and garnish servings
• prepare fruits and vegetables
• maintain work areas and equipment
• follow sanitation and safety practices
• interact courteously with customers and coworkers
• follow service, inventory, and cash-control procedures.
