Staff Dentist

The Staff Dentist role is onsite in Zachary, LA. Pay is $55–$80 per hour. Southeast Community Health Systems provides preventive and primary dental care in a community health center setting. The dentist examines patients, diagnoses dental conditions, provides or directs appropriate treatment, and refers patients for specialty care when needed. The role also documents care, promotes oral health and disease prevention, and supports staff education while following applicable clinical and organizational requirements.

What you'll do

• Examine patients, diagnose dental conditions, prescribe and provide or direct appropriate treatment, and refer patients for specialty consultation or treatment
• document patient-dentist transactions and complete referrals and required records
• educate patients about health conditions and oral health prevention
• assist with continuing education, on-the-job training, and staff orientation as requested
• maintain professional skills and comply with applicable rules, protocols, and procedures.

Why this role

Requires graduation from an accredited dental school, an unrestricted Louisiana dentistry license, current CPR certification, and Louisiana CDS and DEA registration. EMR experience is preferred.
