Employment Specialist

The role builds relationships with individuals, their teams, families or guardians, and employers to expand employment opportunities.

What you'll do

• Conduct discovery activities and prepare vocational profiles
• support person-centered employment planning
• visit businesses and coordinate job tryouts, job shadowing, and interviews
• assist with applications, resumes, and interview practice
• develop employer relationships and customized job opportunities
• provide on-the-job training and travel training
• document progress and coordinate with the Program Manager.

Why this role

High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred. Requires at least one year of employment-services experience supporting people with intellectual or developmental disabilities, a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
