Patient Care Technician (PCT)

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) role is onsite in Rochester, NY, with starting pay of $19 per hour. The technician supports WellNow Urgent Care’s clinical operations and helps maintain the connection between front-end and clinical services for urgent care patients. The role supports patient flow through clinical assistance, testing, documentation, and reception tasks. It contributes to timely, convenient care by assisting providers, maintaining examination rooms and supplies, and completing patient and occupational medicine processes.

What you'll do

• Take patient histories and vital signs
• perform phlebotomy when certified
• complete laboratory paperwork and computer records
• perform point-of-care tests
• coordinate ancillary care records
• assist providers with exams and testing
• maintain patient confidentiality
• check equipment
• stock examination rooms
• support patient flow
• document provider-dictated histories and findings
• greet and register patients, triage calls, collect patient payments, and clean the clinic
• complete occupational medicine documentation and listed testing.
