High School Student Experiential Learning Intern

The High School Student Experiential Learning Intern role is onsite in Newark, Lyons, Palmyra, and Sodus, NY, and compensation is $17.15 per hour. The Arc Wayne is a human services agency that advocates for and supports people of all ages, including people with disabilities, to promote independence. The intern participates in experiential learning within residential, day, and/or community services programs. Working alongside qualified staff for specified activities, interns support individuals’ routines, activities, and community participation while also completing designated tasks independently.

What you'll do

• May accompany and assist on outings and recreational opportunities
• support people at medical and other appointments, school, or college
• support activities and routines such as waking, dressing, brushing teeth, chores, and goals
• may assist with physical programs that do not require in-servicing
• independently perform tasks such as organizing, cleaning, cooking, gardening, wellness activities, meal preparation and cleanup, laundry, and hobbies.

Why this role
