The Director of Quality — CNC Machining is an onsite, full-time role in San Jose, CA, with a second-shift schedule and annual compensation of $120,000–$130,000, plus a performance bonus. The position supports a precision manufacturer’s expansion into aerospace and defense. The director leads quality operations and develops a proactive quality culture focused on preventing defects. The role oversees inspection, metrology, calibration, and quality systems while partnering with Manufacturing and Engineering to strengthen compliance, product conformity, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

What you'll do

• Lead Quality Control, Inspection, Metrology, Calibration, and Quality Systems
• oversee AS9100 and ISO 9001 compliance, audits, and continuous improvement
• manage inspection processes, CMM operations, First Article Inspections, and product conformity
• drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions to reduce scrap and rework
• develop and mentor quality personnel
• partner with Manufacturing and Engineering
• oversee customer quality requirements, supplier quality, and material traceability.
